Ethics Commission Complaint Form

Filing Garrett County Ethics Commission Complaint requirements are in compliance with the State Government Article 15-401, et seq. of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

  1. A Garrett County Ethics Commission complaint form may be obtained through the Garrett County Administrator or filed on-line.
  2. If submitting via hard copy, the person filing the complaint must return the completed form to the Garrett County Administrator.
  3. The Garrett County Administrator will then send a certified copy - registered mail to the Garrett County Ethics Commission and the person named in the complaint.
  4. The person on whom the complaint is being filed will then have 15 days in which to respond.  Once a response is received a hearing will be held with the Garrett County Ethics Commission to determine if there is cause to proceed to a hearing.

Failure to respond to the notification of the complaint form will have an unfavorable effect and could result in a default hearing with no input from the non-responding party.
